파리의연인 / Pa-ri-eh yun-in - Lover's In Paris

In addition to re-watching Attic Cat, I am re-starting watching Lover's in Paris which I had started to watch almost two years ago but could never get time to watch it. This is another beautiful love story. The woman is so sweet, very honest, and helpful. The man is handsome, hard working, but is genuinely kind. Oh I love Korean dramas!!!

New Meaning to Day Trips in the Car - How About Day Ride

Well I used to like to go on little day trips when I lived in Austin, like to Fredricksburg or Blanco just to spend the day. Well now I am rediscovering Tampa after a 30 year absence. One nice thing for cycling is it is really very flat here, but biker beware it does not mean that the streets are free from obstacles. I live in the NW corner of Tampa and I rode several miles away to the north central part of town to go to the public pool to swim. I passed many beautiful neighborhoods as I went, as well as interesting shops. The most impressive was a Cuban style rotisserie chicken which was very much like Pollo Regio back home. I hope to stop in there when LeLe comes to visit. I practically had the pool all to myself, because I got there late in the afternoon close to closing time. I swam there as a child, and it seemed so big then, but it was much smaller to me. The water was crystal clear and very clean. It had rained earlier in the afternoon, so the water was a perfect coolness for swimming. After the pool, I headed over to my brother's house where I visited with him, his wife and 3 children. We all practiced "perfect push-ups", then played Bible Trivia while the girls made me beautiful bead bracelets to wear. His son made us his finest Cuban coffee, oh so yummy. I rode home in the dark, cool evening air. It was a memorable day. Oh one thing I forgot to mention was that on the way to his house I saw a nail salon that said "LeLe's Nails" it made me think of LeLe. I miss her so much. I sent her a text message with a picture of that just to be silly.

Re-Watching 옥탑방 고양이 / Ok-tap-bang Go-yang-ee

I am watching Attic Cat again after five years. I loved this story when it came out. It made me want to move to Seoul and live in a tiny apartment. I think it will be even better the second time.

Bowling Night with the Family

Tim, Hope, Anne and Rick

Anne, Rick and Ricky

Hope bowls while Danielle watches

My brother Rick and his wife Anne invited me to go bowling with them, my nieces and nephew and Uncle Tim. It was fun. I did not win but suprisingly made several strikes during the two games. Anne and Tim were neck in neck the whole time, Rick did very well. The nephew prevailed, despite one niece leading for a time during both games.

My Day at the Beach

North Tampa Bay on the way home on Courtney Campbell Causeway

My feet in the sand at Pass A Grille

CASTAWAY Restaurant on Rocky Point the end of a 30 mile bike ride.

I had quite an adventure. First I rode bus 36 south west, then bus 39 west to the edge of town. I rode my bike all the way through Westchase, past the horse race track to Oldsmar where I waited for a Pinellas county bus. From there I went from Clearwater to the beaches, from the north to Clearwater Beach to the furthest south at Pass a Grill then back again, only to miss the last bus headed back to the county line so I rode my bike across Tampa Bay on the Courtney Campbell Causeway.

Texas Girl in Florida

This is where I am if you need to find me.

It was hard to leave but I made my flight.

Here's My New Bike

You know it is not anything fancy by cyclists standards, but it is my brand new bike, and I can ride it anywhere! It is amazing how free you can feel just riding wherever you want to go. I'm so happy to have it. It really suits me. I will be riding farther and faster as the days go by, and will achieve many goals and enjoy the journey.

100 Days with Mr. Arrogant

Wow thanks Tam! I finally got to watch the entire movie of 100 Days with Mr. Arrogant. I loved it. A great modern love story. It was excellent. So glad I am finally living up to my Blog's title. I cannot believe that I may find a job teaching in Korea. That would be so cool.

Back to the Beach

I will make it a weekly adventure to ride my bike along the Gulf Coast near Pass A Grille in St. Petersburg. It is like and oasis. I cannot wait to renew my spirit there!

लूकिंग फॉर अ न्यू जॉब

Looking for a new job takes time. I had help today though. I will feel so relieved when my plane touches down in Tampa. It is hard to leave my beloved Texas, my friends and family here, but in a sense I am returning home for all the right reasons. My mom is excited and we look forward to spending time together. One of the first things I want to do is buy a new bike and ride it at Pass a Grille in St. Petersburg on the beach.
